Ukraine War 2015 - Heavy Clashes As Novorossian Rebels Launch Major Offensive On Marinka. Heavy clashes between Novorossian rebels and the Ukrainian army in the battle for Marinka.
Novorossian rebels launched a major offensive to take the citiy of Marinka just 20km from Donetsk. The unit you see fighting here is the so called Novorossian "Pyatnashka" brigade.
Marinka appears to be under the control of Ukrainian government troops, who are performing mop-up operations in the area but faced the heavyiest attacks in the crisis since February.
The attack was held out by the use of Infantry units, armored vehicles such as Tanks and BMPs and heavy artillery fire from booth sides. Also there where reports of Grad missile usage by Novorossian fighters.
The video shows heavy fighting as Novorossian units advance onto the town while heavy firefights can be heard everywhere in the area.
This footage was firstly released by the Novorossian news channel "News-Front" and was uploaded in several parts. This one is simply a compilation of the recent fighting from the Novorossian point of view. The last part of the video showing the Tank mounted GoPro onboard Tank turret cam was provided by the journalist Andrey Filatov.
