Riot police in Ukraine have launched brutal attacks on demonstrators as they tried to clear the streets of the capital Kiev. The anti-government protests have been going since last November when the country's president made a last moment decision to abandon a trade pact with Europe in favour of closer ties with Russia. Overnight night violence in Kiev saw at three protesters killed, two of them after being shot, and one who fell from the Dynamo football stadium. Report by Jeremy Barnes.
